This workshop is a celebration of denim, we will look at a brief history of denim, it's success but also how mass production has had a disastrous impact on the environment.

Using a photocopy of a landscape (A3 size in black and white) we will convert the tonal values into shades of denim. We will use free machine embroidery as well as distressing and manipulation techniques to enhance the  landscape.  We will also try to incorporate the different parts to jeans such as zips, buttons, seams and belt loops. You will never look at your jeans in the same was again.

What to bring:

photocopy A3 size in black and white of your landscape (or if you prefer you can use one of mine)

Any blue or yellow machine threads you might have
