Artists at Unique Cottage Studios will be holding an open day on Tuesday 3rd April 2018.
A number of heritage crafts will be on show at Unique during our Heritage Open Day with a variety of demonstrations and opportunities to participate. It is part of the South Holland Heritage Forum initiative to offer an interesting series of heritage open days aimed at families during the Easter Holidays.
Our resident and associate artists and crafts people will be opening their studios to the public. There will be demonstrations of the natural dyeing process with textiles and traditional drum and rattle making using natural materials. Also a chance to watch mosaic making influenced by local Roman archaeological finds and an opportunity to learn more about a variety of craft skills that use natural fleeces and fibres. The stained glass studio will be open and inviting participation in a project to create a community piece.
Studios will be open from 10am to 4pm. There will be free entrance and parking with an onsite cafe where lunches and other delicious light refreshments can be purchased. The Doodles Pot Painting studio will be open as normal.
