Our workshops and
studios are set around the old crew yard that is now an
attractive walled space suitable for working, eating and
relaxing. All accommodation is light, airy and warm with
full disabled facilities and is well equipped for a
variety of artistic pursuits.
Our main barn
is a large, light and spacious room suitable for
painters, craftspeople or talks/lectures and as well as
being used for our own courses, will be available on a
limited basis for hire.
The Ceramics Studio
is well equipped with state of the art Shimpo Whisper
Potters Wheels, Electric Kilns, Clay Roller and Extruder
and plans are also in hand to build a Raku Kiln and Pit
Firing Facility.
We can arrange inset and
study days for teachers, schools and groups in a
variety of craft skills including Mosaics, Lino-Printing, Stained Glass,
Pottery Projects, Weaving Cardboard Baskets, Shibori
Fabric Dyeing, Crazy Patchwork, Rag Rugging, Fabric Bags
and many more.
We sell clay, bisqueware and
glazes and can also provide a firing service all at
competitive prices.
We have two studios
which are currently rented out to Strawberry Glass
Design and Artist in Residence Charles Harrison.
We have a
kitchen/dining area, outdoor seating/ dining area,
disabled toilets and parking.

Gillian is
now well established in the 'Strawberry Glass
Design' studio. Designs in stained glass
using both traditional lead and more contemporary
copper foil techniques are available.
Gillian will be pleased to
discuss commissions for
individually designed pieces and mirrors and has
an active programme of courses
to introduce people to the basic
skills of stained glass work.
