Success for Local Artist
Continues!
Local
artist and tutor Charlie
Harrison has continued to build on his success
following his sell-out show at last year?s Affordable
Art Fair (AAF). Since then, he has attracted strong
interest and ongoing sales, with exhibitions in
Cambridge, Bristol and Amsterdam. At this year's
prestigious AAF, held in Battersea Park, Charles almost
doubled his sales from last year, even though the fair
as a whole was around 20% down.
Charlie's
success seems to mark out an artist who has a bright
future in the art world. Following the
fair, Charlie commented:
I am so
relieved, I really put everything I had into this
work. It is so encouraging that so many people connected
with it. I can t wait to get back in my
studio.
Charlie
has his studio at Unique Cottage Farm
Studios, just outside of Spalding, where he teaches
regular daytime and evening painting classes. Based in
the figurative, these classes focus on both the formal
and theoretical aspects of contemporary painting,
allowing students to gain an insight into mark-making,
colour, composition etc, but also learn about how
painting has developed historically, to the present
day.
These
classes are open to people of any experience, and are
ideal for anyone who wants to make artwork or has a
genuine interest in contemporary art.
